365 Days: Giving to What Gives

Betty Lonegan is giving money away, $100 a day for an entire year to causes, people and organizations that inspire her, and writing about them in her blog.  She's not independently wealthy, she's not frivolous, she's not crazy.  Rather she's decided that  "putting her money where her mouth is" is something she can do.  She's taken her own advice (based on one of the quotes on her blog):

“To do good, you actually have to DO something.”  Yvon Chouinard

She hopes people will join her in giving to these worthy endeavors that she has stamped on What Gives 365. Think about it, by the end of the year she will have given away $36,500!  More than that, each cause will become part of the legacy of her year of giving.  In the end, what gives, is what gets.

Today, May 26, she wrote about Amman Imman.  Betty is a wonderful writer!  Please read her post, and make a comment on Dying of Thirst; Drilling for Life, and choose to give.
